There's an old Irish joke about a tourist who stops to ask the way to Ballygobackwards. Roads have greatly improved but the fact is that you may not get as far as you think, partly because of road signs in miles and kilometres but mostly because that little line on the map doesn't show the roadworks, the detours and the sheep in the middle of the road.
Above all, we want you to have value for money so there are occasions where we recommend escorted tours because you do not need the hassle of navigation detracting from the enjoyment of sights you have travelled thousands of miles to view.

The decision is yours and it is often a straightforward call, but there are occasions where we will recommend transport which you do not expect, precisely because so many of our previous customers have been honest enough to tell us of potholes, diversions and cartographers' fantasy!
Rest assured- we do not favour escorted tours for volume reasons. We just want you to have a good holiday and we are using all of our hard-won experience to provide it for you.
